Possessive Pronouns




'Mine', 'yours', 'his', 'hers', 'ours' and 'theirs' are possessive pronouns. They show who or what something relates to or belongs to.

Examples:

  • "Whose car is this?" "It's mine [=It's my car.]."
  • She is a friend of mine. [=one of my friends]
